At this level, it is important to:
  • Offer contents aimed at reinforcing and developing student’s self-esteem, personal assessment and responsibility in the learning process
  • Select significant activities: Responding to the needs, interests and concerns already expressed by the students
  • Use practical activities based on language samples presented in contextualized situations of real life, close to the reality of the student
  • Implement a practical communicative approach to facilitate the learning of formal structures
  • Propose a didactic sequence containing a wide spectrum of activities:
    • Motivational or “preheating”, to introduce objectives, contents and predispose the student to learn
    • Inductive, to discover formal rules or the functioning of the linguistic system
    • Hands-on without support: use of unforeseen linguistic forms due to the lack of fixed guidelines/rules
    • Evaluation of prior knowledge or knowledge acquired
    • Reinforcement of learning
    • Of extension of contents
