At this level, it is important to:
- Offer contents aimed at reinforcing and developing student’s self-esteem, personal assessment and responsibility in the learning process
- Select significant activities: Responding to the needs, interests and concerns already expressed by the students
- Use practical activities based on language samples presented in contextualized situations of real life, close to the reality of the student
- Implement a practical communicative approach to facilitate the learning of formal structures
- Propose a didactic sequence containing a wide spectrum of activities:
- Motivational or “preheating”, to introduce objectives, contents and predispose the student to learn
- Inductive, to discover formal rules or the functioning of the linguistic system
- Hands-on without support: use of unforeseen linguistic forms due to the lack of fixed guidelines/rules
- Evaluation of prior knowledge or knowledge acquired
- Reinforcement of learning
- Of extension of contents
