An interactive, learner-centred approach, integrating different learning styles is proposed to be followed by trainers (volunteer learners) in order to develop final participants (migrants) literacy skills in Greek language.
The primary goal of the training is to encourage participation, promote an atmosphere of sharing, engaging and participating through empowering participants to experience meaningful learning opportunities. In the same direction, to provide an atmosphere of inclusion, where all participants are encouraged to actively take part and learn through interacting.
Experiential and participatory training is highlighted as being an effective approach for learning, focusing on skills and attitudes rather than simply provide information. Providing simple opportunities for learners to express themselves is considered to be a key to the learning process.
