This module aims to provide volunteers who will support adult migrants the tools to promote individual integration and social cohesion at the local level. Volunteers provide migrants with practical guidance, help open doors to local networks, and assist in cultural, health and wellbeing and linguistic interpretation.

It has been proven early contact with local people is key to successful integration, as it is a huge impact on how welcome migrants feel and provides avenues for them to actively contribute to the collective life of the community. For the volunteers it is chance to expand their own network, make new friends, learn about different cultures and make a positive difference in the lives of migrants.

In particular, through the present module participants will:

• Enhance their knowledge on the Integration European Agenda on Migration
• Familiarize with National policies and legislation framework dealing with migration issues
• Raise awareness on the rights and responsibilities of migrants, as well as on the legislation framework they derive from.
